2026 National Meeting & Banquet

The UAW Member Action (UMA) National Meeting and Banquet will take place at the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, MI on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Join us to chart the course of our movement as UMA enters our second year.

Registration is $50.00 for UAW Member Action members, $75.00 for non-members. Only UMA members may attend the business meeting.

Hotel rooms at the Marriott Renaissance Center are available Sunday, June 14, for $210.00 including tax. If you are unsure whether you need a hotel room, you can request one later by emailing us (rooms are, however, limited).

Details

During the business portion of the Annual National Meeting, members will:

  • Hear reports on our first year of education, organizing, and reform work

  • Review our priorities and strategy for the Constitutional Convention

  • Elect UMA Steering Committee members

  • Vote on International Executive Board candidate endorsements

Following the business meeting, join us for a Happy Hour and Banquet to hear from activists across our union about recent contract and organizing victories, and what we need to do to keep up this momentum.

  • Member Action is a network of UAW members growing worker power and strengthening democracy in our union through education and organizing. Our Annual National Meeting is where we will discuss and decide on important strategic decisions for the year ahead, including IEB candidate endorsements.

  • Registration ($50 for UMA members, $75 for non-UMA members) includes entry to our Happy Hour at 6:00 PM, as well as your meal at the Banquet Dinner at 7:00 PM. UMA members will also receive entry to the business meeting beginning at 4:00 PM.

  • If you need help covering travel and/or rooming costs, give us a call or email.

  • Please plan to arrive in Detroit by the morning or early afternoon of Sunday, June 14. This is a “travel day” for the Constitutional Convention. If you are flying to Detroit as a delegate, you may need to inform your local when you need to arrive in Detroit and ask for a flight change.

  • Yes! While delegates will already be in town for the Convention, we also welcome non-delegates to attend. Our block of hotel rooms is available for guests on Sunday night. If you need a place to stay for more of the week, reach out to us, and we will do our best to help.

  • In the past, members have been allowed to register as guests at the discretion of the International Executive Board. If you would like to attend as a guest and need help navigating this process, reach out to us.

  • Only UMA members will be allowed to participate in the Business Meeting portion of the evening. Friends and spouses and are welcome to join us for the Happy Hour and Dinner Banquet after. See registration details for non-member pricing.
