WHAT WE DO

Networking UAW Leaders and Activists

We are UAW members supporting each other to stand up to employers, develop as activists and organizers, and carry on the transformation of our union at every level — including by running for office in our locals. Now more than ever, building together at the grassroots is vital to keep our union moving in a progressive and militant direction. Sign up for updates or attend our next event to meet other UAW members and labor leaders who are driving this movement forward.

Union Education for all UAW Members

We are committed to growing future leaders in every industry and at every level of our union. Worker-to-worker education is key to overcoming barriers and building union power together. Whether you are a new UAW member looking to get involved or an experienced member wanting to fine-tune your skills, our educational programs will offer you the latest strategies and education.

Safeguarding Democracy at the 2026 Constitutional Convention

One Member, One Vote has transformed our union for the better, putting members in the driver's seat. We support constitutional changes that will safeguard direct voting for decades to come, such as implementing an independent system for fair IEB elections after the departure of the federal monitor.

Preparing for Contract Fights in 2028

Unions across the country are aligning their contracts with the UAW’s Big 3 expiration dates on May 1st, 2028. These negotiations are our next opportunity to win big improvements from the Big 3 automakers, and others who join this contract alignment. Our last contracts stopped the bleeding of decades of concessions. Now it’s time to reverse givebacks like retirement tiers once and for all.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Enforcing Our Contracts Through Education and Action

Enforcing contract language is what makes collective bargaining effective between contract expirations. We train members on understanding contract language and working together on the shop floor to enforce the rights we won at the bargaining table and beyond.

Building Locals with Active, Engaged Members

A strong UAW starts with strong locals. We are committed to building member-led locals — and supporting and developing leaders who keep their members informed, involved, and organized. Without a plan to enforce it, a contract is just a piece of paper. We educate members on our rights and how to uphold them through the grievance procedure and shop-floor organizing.

Reversing Concessions in UAW Contracts

The power to win strong contracts comes from the shop floor—not the backroom. UAW Member Action trains and supports members to build solidarity and apply pressure where it counts. No more concessions in our contracts. We go on the offensive to win what we deserve.

Protecting Labor Rights from Ongoing Attacks

Labor is under attack like never before in our lifetimes. Despite this, labor is also hugely popular with over 70% public support. No one union will be able to fend off these attacks. We will help mobilize UAW members for the defense of all our rights.

Growing the Union: More UAW Members = More UAW Raises

Organizing new shops and growing our union pays off. We support bold drives to bring non-union workers into the fight, grow our movement, and raise standards in our industries. More members means more leverage and better contracts for all of us.
