UAW Member Action Endorses the United UAW Slate for International Executive Board
On Sunday, June 14th, UAW Member Action gathered for our first national meeting in Detroit, Michigan. Members discussed and voted on endorsements of candidates for International Executive Board. Nominations will take place at the UAW Constitutional Convention this week.
We are proud to endorse the United UAW slate. Under President Shawn Fain* we’ve seen more transparency in negotiations than any time in UAW history. As members, we were brought into the fight after being kept in the dark and ignored for decades. Fain and others on the United UAW slate have worked together to make a new UAW possible — from member-driven fights, to winning record contracts, to our historic organizing victory at VW.
Member Action stands behind the United UAW slate’s vision to protect jobs from automation and win retirement security for all our members, starting with the Big 3 contracts expiring in 2028. These fights will require battle-tested leadership who can tap into the power of our membership. The United UAW candidates stand on a strong track record results and are ready for whats ahead.
The United UAW candidates are: Shawn Fain for President, Brandon Campbell for Secretary Treasurer, Laura Dickerson for Vice President, Kevin Gotinsky for Vice President, Ryan Hiestand for Vice President, LaShawn English for Region 1 Director, Mark DePaoli for Region 1A Director, Scott Zuckschwerdt for Region 1D Director, David Green for Region 2B Director, Lucas DeSpain for Region 4 Director, Mike Miller for Region 6 Director, Tim Smith for Region 8 Director, and Brandon Mancilla for Region 9A Director.
